II Corinthians 1:4: “Who comforteth us in all our tribulations, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we are comforted of God.” The Lord has promised in His word He would comfort us as Christians during our trials and tribulations. It is the duty of the Christian to be like Christ and bring comfort to those that stand in need. As you know, needy families and individuals in our community go without proper food, shelter, and essential medical care every day due to a variety of factors including low wages, job loss, injuries, illness, age, domestic violence, or divorce. In the times we live in now no one is excluded.
That is why the Lord has burdened my heart for the needy people in our communities. Not only to help feed them physically, but spiritually as well.
With a Humble Heart,
Jimmy Willard
What We Believe
Disaster Relief Food Ministry is grounded in the fact that we do what we do for a higher purpose! We believe that we are called to serve others. We feel strongly that it is every Christians responsibility to follow the direction of Christ according to scripture.
Matthew 25:40 “And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me”.
The Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
That there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
That for the salvation of lost and sinful men, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ results in regeneration by the Holy Spirit and that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.
In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly and powerful life.
In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
And all of this leads us to a higher purpose… A mandate to serve our generation and meet the needs of people wherever they are!
